Today we got a few minor fixes for ya:

• We've added categories to existing articles to make it easier to find related articles (e.g. research articles, news articles, etc.)
• The Ghastly Dragons research article has been updated with new statistics, going from 1.9k killed ghasts to 3.2k killed ghasts in our new calculations.
• Added hover boxes to the Fansites section. Hover your mouse over the fansite banner and have a look at that fansites description!
• Fixed a bug that caused empty activities to be generated. These empty activities will be removed soon.
• Fixed another bug that caused users from being unable to log in.
• Currently 528 images have been uploaded, 610 users created, 62 albums created, 21549 players created, and 152 comments written. Keep uploading and keep writing, we highly appreciate it

Redesign Reminder

We are currently working hard at redesigning the website and are currently looking at a May release. The re-release of the website will improve the over all design of the website and make it easier to find relevant content.

Very soon there will be a few teasers for the upcoming redesign of the website. Keep your eyes open and keep coming back to TibiaHoF for more on this.

Hello Tibians,

We are happy to introduce a new feature on the website: Multi Image Upload Tool!

With this tool in hand you can upload many images at the same time.

This is how it works:

• Only registered users may use it, so be sure to register your user today!
• You can upload up to 20 images at a time.
• Titles are automatically generated for you from the filename. Example: if your filename is my-image.jpg it will generate the title "My Image" for you.
• You can assign the images you upload to an album.
• Requires that you have the flash plugin installed in your browser.

Currently you can't tag any characters in the images, but this will be added in future improvements to the tool. It is also only available in english, however, translations will also be added in the future as well.

We hope you like it and find it useful when uploading many images at the same time!

We have released the new open beta version of the chat (1.4). If you want to try it out, go to Community > Chat (Beta). Remember that you need to be logged in to your TibiaHof account.

Among the major changes to the chat are:

• When going into a chat room it will no longer show who joined or left previously, these messages will only be shown once you entered the chat room
• Added new chat commands /ignore and /unignore, which lets you ignore or unignore specific users. Type /help to find out more about these commands
• Removed command nick (there is a chance we will put it back in the future, but for now it's inactivated)
• At the end of the chat there is a link to where you can load older chat messages.
• Chat participants can now be kicked by moderators
• Added few security measures preventing users from posting in chat rooms they are not currently in

This past week we have been improving the chat (available from Community > Chat) and invite all registered users to test it out. More precisely, we have introduced chat commands!

Chat commands

Tibia HoF chat supports a wide array of commands. Simply type /help to find a full list of available commands. The ones currently implemented are:

• /bbcode - redirects you to the bbcode page
• /clear - clears the chat from messages
• /help - shows help
• /leave - exits chat
• /nick - changes nick name
• /online - shows who is currently online in chat
• /room - changes to another chat room
• /terminate - shuts down chat
• /time - shows current local time
• /version - shows the current chat version
• /whoami - shows your identity
• /whois - shows information about a user

More commands might be added in future versions. Other than that we have improved the look of the chat a little.

We are currently working hard on the improved design of the website, which will be launched in May. Up until then there will be few and sparse updates, but we will inform you in some teaser articles on what the new update will bring!

Here are the new features implemented over the weekend!

Open Chat Beta

We have created a chat which is currently being beta tested - there are very few features implemented and only one chat room available. This will be fixed the coming weeks, as we keep testing. Right now only registered users may write in the chat, but everyone can read the chat. Be sure to register a Tibia Hall of Fame account if you already haven't.

Features to be added to the chat include (but are not limited to):

• Commands (e.g. /whoami, /nick, /online, etc.)
• Allow Guest users to chat
• Multiple chat rooms
• Online lists (who is currently in the chat?)
• Ability to share content (images, links, etc.)
• and much more to come!

If you have any ideas for how to improve the chat, or want to report a bug, we would be very greatful if you could take a minute or two to let us know, either by visiting the chat and write there, or send us a message via the feedback form.

Introducing Image of the Month

Every month the Tibia Hall of Fame Admin Staff will pick one image that will become the IotM – Image of the Month. For an image to become IotM it must truly show the excellence and spirit of Tibia – it can either show off something really cool, be funny, or in some other way excel in the spirit of the game!

Minor Fixes

Several minor fixes to the website as always

• Uploaded images are from now on displayed in an overlay, similar to how an image is displayed on albums when you click on it. If you wish to view it outside an overlay (like in the old way), you can do so by pressing Expand.
• Added missing female addon (Soil Guardian)
• User Profiles have once again been expanded with new information – Most Viewed Image and Top Rated Image. Be sure to visit your own profile here to check it out!

Future Changes

As some of you know, we are currently working hard on redesigning the website, implementing Top Skills, and sometime in the future, we will also hold the highly anticipated Fansite Item Contest.
Regarding the redesign, we are currently looking at launching the improved website sometime in May (as well as translating the website into some more languages). As for Top Skills, this will be available very soon! The Fansite Item Contest we don’t have any exact date when we want to do it, but we are hoping sometime after the summer.

Here are the new features implemented over the weekend!

Image Previews

Images can now be previewed, simply by hovering your mouse cursor over the image you will see a smaller preview version of the image.

(thanks to Martin for proposing this idea).

Fixes

Several fixes have implemented over the weekend. Here they are:

• Extended User Profiles with some more useful information, such as total image views, profile views, and total album views. Have a look at your profile and see for yourself!
• If you connect your characters to your Tibia Hall of Fame account it will automatically create a party named "My Characters" consisting of your connected characters (you can use a party to search on Activities or Fast Levels for example)
• Replaced the Preview Comment checkbox (on articles and image pages) with a button
• The amount of views an article has is now displayed
• Fixed a minor bug that caused guest users to not be able to quick search
• Fixed another minor bug that prevented users from adding images to albums
• Fixed several other bugs, e.g. images that have been reported and hidden by admins are no longer displayed in albums
• Fixed the styling in certain parts of the website

We’re also happy to report that we are currently tracking 16 600 characters (an increase of 1.6k players since Feb 03) as well as over 20k image views!

Another sunday, Another update!

This week we've had some problem with users being logged out, but we have managed to track down the cause of this and removed it. If you are still experiencing any problems with being logged out, please let us know in the comments below or on the feedback form (link at the end of this article).

Anyway, here are the most recent changes to the website:

Minor Fixes

• Fixed login/logout problem. Users should no longer be logged out spontaneously - if this problem subsists, please contact us
• Search results will now redirect if it finds 1 result. E.g. if you search on Mirade in Character Search it will redirect you to Mirades character profile instead of showing the search results.
• Fixed a few minor bugs

Quick Search

Quick Search is a new feature which acts as a central point for searching on the website. With Quick Search you can search on pretty much everything: Images, Characters, Users; even Activities and Fast Levels!

So how do you do a quick search? Well, just write in what you are looking for and then choose your search method, like this:

Tibia Hall of Fame is finally officially supported by tibia.com and many new pics have been uploaded to the website. There is still a whole lot of work ahead of us. We would also like to thank the websites (#1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6) that have been linking to us!

With all of that said, here are some of the recent changes to the website:

• Albums are from now on made public once at least 1 image has been added to it (subsequently if an album no longer contains any images it will be hidden from the public automatically as well).
• Player Activities that contains updated comments now displays the comments when the user hovers their mouse over the link, like this
• Added Supported Tibia Fansite banner
• Top Rated Images are now only displayed if an image has received at least 2 votes - this number will increase as more images receives votes
• Now tracking +15k characters - a substantial increase of characters
• Added Site Helpers to Credits - special welcome to new Site Helpers Pitt and Kuyen
• Fixed a bug that prevented users from searching Activities and Fast Levels by vocations
• Fixed a few minor bugs and grammar errors

Future fixes and features

As we have promised earlier (in this post), we are planning to implement two new features: Skills Redux and Improved Search.

By the end of every week for at least a few weeks ahead we will bring new updates to the website - every sunday at approx. 11AM (1 hour after SS) we will update the website.

Some people are not satisfied with the current look and feel of the website, and neither are we. We are currently looking at ways to improve on it, but we can't say for sure how long it will take before a new, improved look of the website will take shape. Once we get there we will let you know!

No big changes, due to the fact that we are making sure that the existing content and features are working as they should. This has lead to several minor fixes:

• Added a new logo, contributed by user Pitt
• Archives now displays archived logos
• Fansites section has been updated
• Redesigned the drop down menu: replaced Albums with Highscores. Top Levels and Top Achievements has been moved from Characters to Highscores. Albums has been moved to Images. Upload Images is now listed first in the Images menu
• Fast Levels is now secondarily sorted by level (e.g. if two players have the same progression rate, they are internally sorted by highest level)
• Moved Fast Levels to Highscores
• Currently tracking over 13.8k players with new players being added all the time
• Several minor bug fixes

We are still working on two major features (teaser here); however, we are making sure that the website is stable and everything is working as intended.
