Been terribly busy with school stuff as usual. However, I managed to bring a few changes your way.

First off, I want to thank user theputte, who reported a bug with top rated images not being displayed correctly. This has been fixed now.

Added support to removing images
Also, we have added the possibility to remove images. To remove an image, log into your TibiaHof account, go to images and press the icon that says Remove image. From this page you can choose the image to remove.

All images you have removed are moved to the trashbin. If you want to restore an image, go to the trashbin and press the restore icon next to the title of the image. Note however, images placed in the trashbin will be removed monthly.

In other news, 3k players are now tracked in our local player database, with more players to be added.

Improvements to automatic updates of players and improved login will be fixed in the coming weeks instead.

I hope everybody has had as much fun as me with smashing pumpkins and perhaps looted some spiderwebs or toy spiders or something in that strain.

Well, enough of that. Here's another update for you all:

• It is now possible to filter characters by world in most recent characters, most viewed characters, most tagged characters, and oldest characters
• Players are now automatically fetched from the experience highscore periodically and added to TibiaHofs local player database. So if you have a character on the top #25 experience highscore, you will be added to our character database!
• Ever had anyone ask when the next server save is? Well, now you can send this page to your friends or foes or strangers to help them find out by themselves!
• Over 2k characters are now tracked in our local character database (with more to come!)
• Fixed a bug that prevented users from connecting their characters to their accounts. If you have had any problem connecting your character to your account, you should go ahead and do that now
• Fixed several other minor bugs (e.g. connected characters are now correctly displayed in community pages)

Next week we will bring a few improvements to the automatic update of players. Players that have not been logged in for a long time will no longer be regurarly updated by TibiaHof (although we will update these players once in a while, just not as often).

Hello there,

Several changes to the website as usual. Here's what changed:

• Pretty links have been modified. Space is now encoded as a hyphen (-)
• Characters / and \ are no longer allowed in image titles
• Image links now differentiates between pretty links and compact links. Pretty links are links that are based on the users username and the title of the image (e.g. /myimage/Nils/my-uploaded-image.jpg), while a compact link is a link based on the timestamp of the upload date and is a shorter version of a link (e.g. /image/5071f3f1a5198.jpg)
• The amount of activities shown in an activity chart has been reduced to 40 (only the most recent 40 will be shown)
• Time until next Server Save now correctly displays the time left
• Minor fixes (e.g. several design changes, bug fixes, etc.)

Population Explosion in Character database

Currently we have around 1400 Tibia characters in our character databases. In the next few days there will occur a "population explosion" - all players that are listed on the first page in the experience section of the Tibia highscore will be added to our local databases. This will apply to all game worlds.

This means an additional ~2000 players will be created (each page shows 25 players multiplied by 79 game worlds=1975 players)

Also note that we will on a regular basis add new players to our local character database from the Tibia highscore.

Another busy week at the university has gone by, so haven't had that much time to make any changes to the website. Next week will pretty much be the same.

However, a minor update after all: on the activities page there is a link at the bottom of the page that allows you to load the next 20 activities. This has been updated to take into consideration search filter.

For example, if you search on character name, scroll down the search result, and press Show 20 next activities, it will load the next 20 activities of that character (this would be ignored before and just show the most recent results incorrectly).

Another update for you folks!

This most recent week we have been working on improving albums - simply to make it easier to add images to albums.

Add Images to Albums from almost anywhere

If you are logged into your Tibia Hall of Fame account you can add images to albums from almost any place. Wherever you see an uploaded image with a title and description there is a green text that says "Add Image to Album". If you click that a drop down list will be displayed containing all your albums. You can then proceed to choose your album from the list and that image will be added to the album.

Minor Fixes

There have also been a few minor fixes to the website:

• Albums can from now on only be made public if they contain one or more images
• Most Tagged Characters is now primarily sorted by most tagged and secondarily sorted by views
• Several design changes to the website. Content that is related to your Tibia Hall of Fame account will be tinted in green, in the same way the My Pages button is. The purpose of this is to make it clearer what parts of the website is only accessible when you are logged in
• Minor Fixes and Bug Fixes

I hope everyone had a good weekend and that your world succeeded in the berrystomping event. If not, there is at least a new chance starting next SS to take it back.

I've been terribly occupied with developing my own game (!), but I took some time to check off a few items from my Tibiahof todo list.

Merged Charts

Perhaps some of you have noticed during the last few days, that there is a new chart added to activities, namely merged charts. Merged charts displays both level progression and achievement points progressions in the same chart. You can have a look at merged charts by heading off to the Activities Page.

For those not familiar with charts, here's a short explanation of how they work:

If there are not enough progressions recorded it will show the message Not Enough Progressions Made. For example, if you want to show level progression chart that character must have had at least 2 level progressions recorded. The same goes for achievement points. To show a merged chart there must be at least 2 level progressions and an additional 2 achievement progressions made.

If you hover your mouse over the number next to the text Avg Levels/Day you will find out how many days it will approximately take to get a certain level.

Minor Updates

A few minor updates to the website as well:

• It's now possible to do a search on activity search by name by pressing enter in the character name text box
• At the end of the Activity page there is a text that says Show Next 20 Activities - clicking this will load 20 more activities
• The Login menu has been renamed to Login/Register and shows a set of alternatives
• Removed the column Created from all character tables except for most recent characters. This removal was done mainly to avoid confusion
• Minor Bug fixes (e.g. pretty links should now be displayed correctly)

This update brings a few modifications to activities, profiles, and more:

• The Beta label has been removed from Activities
• COTW now displays the name of the user that has added that COTW
• Did you forget your Tibia Hall of Fame username? No problem. Now you can reclaim it by going to this page.
• Ugly links (such as 5066c73af2bb2.jpg) have been fully replaced by pretty links given that the image has been uploaded by a registered user (i.e. not a guest user)
• Over 1000 characters have been added to our local character database
• Fixed a few minor bugs (e.g. characters with special characters in their name, such as ', will be displayed correctly in activities)

So what's in store for the future of the website? There is still a lot of job to be done, but each week the website itself becomes more and more complete. We are happy to announce that the beta label has been removed from activities, which means that it has been fully developed and should work without any problems.

In the coming weeks there will be some new features added related to activities. We will also improve parts of the website that are not visible to the end user, but which are very important to do right, such as updating and deleting players from our local character database in an efficient way.

The last week has been busy, so not a lot of new stuff going on. However, Character Activity has been extended to support Activity Progression Charts, and some minor fixes has been implemented as well.

Activity Progression Chart

With Activity Progression Charts you can keep track of the progression in terms of levels and achievement points of individual characters, over a period of time. It's very simple: each activity keeps a link to the type of progression. If you click it, the chart will be loaded and displayed in place.

Minor Fixes

To end this feature update, we will list some minor fixes to the website:

• Added a few search options to activities, such as limiting search to only deleted players, limiting search to only FACC or PACC players, and so on. Have a look!
• Removed category Other from images (existing images with this category will no longer have a category)
• Fixed several minor bugs

End of Character Activity Beta?

Character Activity is getting more mature by the day, and there are currently no plans to further extend activities as such. By next week we hope to remove the beta label from activities (there is still a lot of testing to be done, but other than that activities works as expected).

• You can now generate so called Activity Links. Do so by adding search filter, choosing search method, filling in details, and pressing the checkbox with the text Get Activity Link. Check it out here!
• Most Recent Comments are now shown on user profiles (only comments made by that specific user will be displayed)
• Removed column Created from Oldest Characters to avoid confusion
• Added a new image category IRL Pics which allows you to upload images of yourself as well as tag your character in that image (as long as you are the true owner of that character). Terms of Use has been updated to reflect these changes.
• The amount of characters tracked by TibiaHof.com is now displayed above the logo, next to the amount of images uploaded
• Fixed minor bugs (e.g. it's now possible to tag 20 characters in an image as opposed to only 19)

Hello fellow Tibians!

This update brings you a mixed variety of new features and fixes to the website. These are as following:

• Added new page to Characters: Oldest Characters, showing the characters who has existed for the longest time
• Character Profiles have also been modified to show the age of the tibia.com account that owns that player
• Titles in images have been modified to not allow certain characters. These characters are -._~. Existing images have been modified to exclude these characters in the titles. These characters are still allowed in descriptions
• In the upper right corner, next to Time left to Server Save, you will be able to view how many images have been uploaded on the site as well as how many character taggings have been made
• Motivations are now displayed for Earlier COTW. To view a motivation, simply press the Toggle Motivation link
• Advanced Image Search results are now highlighted in green the same way it is in regular search
• Translated Activity pages and Advanced Image Search into swedish
• Various minor bug fixes and improvements to the design (for example, search buttons have changed look)
