The fansite item competition is coming to an end - on Oct 31st we will close the forum thread where you can submit your items. Once this thread has been closed, we will not accept any further item submissions.

You can still submit your items on this thread.

And after that?

Once we have closed the item thread, we will go through the submissions and pick out the ones that follows the rules. Out of these we will pick 5 to 10 nominated items. These will be announced later.

Once we have the nominated items, we will pick 3 winners - one gold, one silver, one bronze.

The items we have received looks really great and unique, picking just 3 will be hard! Until then, have a good Halloween

User profiles have been revamped to integrate better with the newly added forum.

Here's an example of how the new profiles looks like.

Minor fixes

• Fixed all checkboxes and radio buttons, so now you can click on the text next to each checkbox/radio button to select it
• Fixed a bug with image search
• Fixed a bug with not being able to tag players when editing images
• Fixed yet another bug on forum that made it impossible to view character information on players with apostrophes in the name
• Fixed a few details with the layout

Badges?

As you can see on the profiles, we're soon introducing a new feature called "badges". Basically, it's similar to achievement points - you can collect these badges by doing something great. More about this in a couple of weeks, so be sure to check back

The start page now loads about 5 to 6 times faster than before, due to improved caches. The loading time has been reduced from around 30 seconds to around 5 seconds on the start page.

We are looking into improving the performance on the website in other areas as well.

This week we are introducing a new feature: Activity Timeline.

What is the Activity Timeline?

The timeline shows the life of a Tibia player: how many levels they've gained, achievements points gained, when they changed guilds, change of world, and much more. You'll get a nice overview of the player from beginning to end.

How do I use it?

It's simple! Just follow these instructions:

Step 1: Go into Activities

Step 2: Pick "Search By Name" from the search filters

Just enter the name of the player and press Filter. You will be presented with some information, something like this:

This week we have implemented a couple of new features as well as bug fixes. Let's get to it!

• Party search filters on Activities and Fast Levels now includes the guilds of the players that you have associated with your Tibiahof.com account.
• We have fixed Activities, so it loads faster and more fluently than before.
• When Uploading Images, you will get suggestions for players to tag. If you hover your mouse over the name, it will now show some more information about the player.
• Fixed an issue with chat that caused guest users to be kicked out, this should now be fixed.
• Removed 138 users identified to be created by bots - more fake users will be removed in the future. We also added bot protection, to prevent bots from creating fake users.

In other news, we now have over 30k+ players in our local player database!

A few minor fixes for the weekend.

• Player suggestions when uploading images has been improved and should load faster.
• Top rated images now only shows images that have received at least 3 votes (up from 2 votes before).
• Players that have abused the view counters have had their counters reduced today.
• Fixed a few bugs with the tibia.com tab content bar.

Today we have implemented security measures to prevent images, character profiles, and more from getting "fake views". Characters profiles and images that have been receiving these "fake views" will have their view counts adjusted in the next couple of days.

In the next couple of weeks we will be working on improving the tibia.com article tab, releasing a public forum, improving the look and feel of activity charts, and much more!
